The ONETIK cheese dairy is installed over a single 30,000-m² production site in the heart of the Basque country, in Macaye. The existing building covers a surface area of 9,000 m².
A CONTINUOUS INVESTMENT POLICY
Since 1992, ONETIK has invested over 6 million Euros in order to increase its production capacity, improve the quality of its products and promote environmentally friendly processes..
This investment program is stepped up in 2006 with a 4.5 million Euro investment in the production line (with the target of mastering the manufacture of lactic products) and for a new building on the Macaye site.
EMPLOYMENT PROTECTION IN THE MOST REMOTE RURAL AREAS
ONETIK is working on protecting agricultural pastoralism by maintaining milk collection in the most remote areas.. For example ONETIK collects milk in the high altitude valley of the Aldudes,, an area where dairy production is arduous because of the mountain pastures’ steep slopes.
