KEY DATES

1975 : Creation of the ESNEA SICA (French collective agricultural company) on Mr. Camblong’s initiative.

 

1982 : Creation of the BERRIA cooperative at the heart of the Basque country in the area where the cow’s and sheep’s milk is collected.

 

1989 : Creation of the ONETIK SAS (a simplified limited company) in Macaye (department 64) with a capital of 3.1 8 million Euros.

 

1994 : The company starts exporting and stands out in the market thanks to the quality of the Ossau Iraty AOP (Protected designation of origin) and the Tome Noire IGP (Protected geographical indication).

 

2001 : The development of the famous Bleu des Basques in the ONETIK manufacturing facilities is still in its early stages. That year, this sheep’s blue cheese is recognised Flavour of the Year, an international patent is approved and finally this cheese is awarded a Gold Medal in Paris. This recognition rapidly strengthens the brand.

 

2002 : Participation in the capital increase of the RIVAUD Cheese Dairy (Charente department). This company has a perfect understanding of the lactic and soft cheese processes (goat and cow’s cheese) complementing ONETIK’s know-how with further technologies. The integration of a small farm cheese business, Les Saloirs de Lescun SARL (limited liability entity), has allowed ONETIK to incorporate this specific distribution line into its business as well as broadening the existing range with Pyrenees traditional farm products.

 

2008 : In addition to this traditional range, ONETIK now offers a range of culinary aids such as its French Mozzarella TOSCA DONA and its organic produces.

 

2010 : ONETIK obtains the IFS standard (International Food Standard). This guarantees its distributors the products and manufacturing processes are safe and in compliance with current regulations.

From the consumer’s side, the dairy culinary aids have been recognised by its users and the BAYONNE tub has been awarded the French Flavour of the Year 2010 recognition!
